Evidently, some shit happened in M3, the race is not yet available (M2 is). EDIT: It's there, simply not in the Spoiler Free Section....
Quarterback assessed a long lap penalty next race, for crash with Aleix. Seems harsh for a racing incident. Did Nakagami serve any after his crashes a few weeks ago?
I haven't read the rules but I would guess that just as they do with track limits, they apply a different standard to the first turn/lap.
My point was I don’t see how it was a boneheaded move. Divebombing from way back and punting someone = bonehead. Punting someone to turn an inch into a foot = bonehead. But that pass attempt looked perfectly legitimate. He was reasonably close going in, the door was open, he made an attempt. These guys are on the limit 100% of the time. Mistakes will happen. I don’t think you can call every crash boneheaded.
Did you see how wide he was going before he finally crashed? It wasn't the same move or outcome. There is nothing wrong with aggressive moves and there isn't anything wrong with punishment for aggressive moves when they don't work out imo.
Ran the race video back (since they wouldn't show a frickin replay) as it looked mighty close. After watching it again several times, looks like Cam lost the front after going in hot and being pushed slightly off-line by Vietti. Sux either way...
Nobody likes your comment. El Quattro was in waaaaayyyy to hot/deep. Watch the video.... Asparagus was already coming out of the apex when he go T-boned.
First of all, this… Secondly, did you see his line? There were only two possible outcomes, given his trajectory. Hit Espargaro, or tighten the line and crash. He actually managed to do both.
In the grand scheme of things, our guys are always on the short end of the sticks on these incidents and that’s what appears to separate the results. Perhaps our guys need to start throwing the hard passes more often then not.
