As for Marquez being done, I thought he was done that last time he knocked himself cross eyed but when he came back from that I picked him to win the championship as a rookie so, hell if I know. I don't think he'll be the racer he was but done? Man, I hope not.

I don't think he deserves that ride but it's not fair to judge him just yet. Jack Miller was almost 4 seconds off the pace at his first MotoGP test (here) and he turned out alright. Rookies tend to just get tires and gas on their debuts, so lap times aren't too relevant yet.

 

To be fair, I was judging him not worthy (as were many others) before he ever posted a laptime.

 

Also, both the Tech 3 KTM guys got time on a MotoGP bike earlier this year.
