I can't remember if it was Faster or Fastest, but in one of those documentaries, they overlaid Rossi's data from an early race lap with a late race lap, and the data was practically identical. These guys are machines and they are programmed like computers.

It's interesting to hear the comments when these guys step down from the MotoGP paddock into others. During an early test with Ten Kate, Nicky Hayden joked about how the team needed to get used to his work ethic, Bautista once commented that he was surprised that riders aren't always giving 100% throughout practice sessions in WSBK, and Tommy Bridewell in BSB has spoken about how he re-vamped his entire offseason training program after witnessing the way Scott Redding approached racing. We've also seen how Toni Elias' presence has elevated the level of the front-runners in MotoAmerica.

Bottom line; these MotoGP guys are simply a cut above the rest. I firmly believe that every MotoGP racer would run at the front of any production based class on competitive equipment. If the rumors about Tito Rabat moving over to Ducati in WSBK, things might get even more interesting over there.
