Doesnt the VR46 team only sign Italians?

 

That is the intended model. 10ish years ago, in light of the overwhelmingly high presence of Spanish riders in GP, VR46 Academy was born with the intent to promote spaghetti slingers. It’s worked.

I wonder how much that stung Ducati Brass putting VR46 on the side of a Duc again..

 

I would assume not much if they feel they're getting a competent rider and a sponsor with $.

I think it must be a semi win for Ducati. Sponsor money, Italian sponsor, Italian rider, Italian bike, linked to the marketing of the Italian motorcycling superstar - but on the third string so that if it has any shades of the last time such a thing was pondered it will not be their factory team

There already is a wall. Avintia is an entirely different team, different manufacturer and different garage.

No need for Mr. Tuong Lu Kim to build a wall, there already are a few.
