Rossi and JLo both made equally dumb moves in their careers because of money and ego. Worked out OK as far as money goes.

For sure, but Zarco has shown he's got some real speed to be at the pointy end of the field, I'm just thinking the KTM is not going to give him the tools to stay up there the way the Yamaha did. The satellite Yamaha, Ducati and Honda have all shown that they can run up at the front. The best the KTM has managed since it's debut was a 9th.

But money is indeed a strong motivator.

So is ego. No one sharing a garage with Marquez will ever be anything but second fiddle. Almost anywhere else he goes will be that role as well.

And I bet a starring role pays better than supporting cast.

I would love to see Zarco go to KTM. KTM has a knack of proving people wrong. Good woods bike but sucks in MX. Wins in MX. Good MX bike but can't win SX. Wins SX. Great dirt bikes but can win in 125 road racing. Wins 125 then 250's. Can build lower class winners but not in MOTOGP.??????????????

I think MCN reported it and then pulled it down.

I'm thinking KTM is going to be more balls deep than any other effort on the grid next year. Whether that translates to results or not....we'll see. The ARE heading in the right direction, have big sugar water money behind them, and have a pretty damn good attitude about the development stage.

I think it was a great move for Zarco.

Dude, KTM has a (rumored) budget that they could damn near buy Aprilia outright with.

i don't think he's got the juice honestly. he's gonna be another "living in the shadow of..." story. good enough to get in, but not good enough to rival his brother, or any of the other Top 5, is what it currently looks like. i like Oliviera for the future over him personally.

I read something online that maybe Dani would be a candidate for a Yamaha satellite team as a stop-gap to get to the VR46 MotoGP team. I think that Dani's style (and weight) would suit the Yamaha fairly well, and maybe he would stop breaking bones.

Also, I agree that A Marquez doesn't have the killer instinct to really bring it to MotoGP like Marc did/does. AM doesn't quite seem to be able to miracle his way out of trouble, or gap the field to win with domination. Every race that he gets to the front, he slowly works his way back into second (or crashes). I rate him as a satellite rider when he gets to GP, in that he can pull marketing, make some dents into the top 5 with subsequent air time for the team/manufacturer, but not be a contender for a title.

M2 is going to be picking gravel out of his own ass so often that Catepillar is going to consider sponsoring him

Yea but you said VDS... I’m saying HRC made a Marquez rule once before.

That family owns that team. Point blank. That’s just my bet. Ya I’ll see Marquez brothers in that garage with pops and an aunt or two. Possibly the family dog as well with its own shit handler.

Can’t disagree with that however, I’m betting Marquez has a LOT of pull in the garage.

    Anyone but Cal!

Dude, putting him on the Repsol team would be insanity. INSANITY!!!!

He just ain't there yet. I don't even know if he's satellite team ready right now. Maybe on a more forgiving bike but who knows.
