Watching those on-boards, I no longer have any interest in running a track day at COTA. If I want a track day like that, I will just take my track bike off road.

It's the smoothest track in Texas.

It's really not THAT bad or at least as bad as they make it out to be.

 

Not a high bar to clear, as I understand it.

yep, cried watching that, I can't think of another person I wish we could bring back. Still hurts. Man is they another person that does not want to make you smile more than when Nicky grins back at ya.

I'm amazed at how much this still hurts - especially for someone I never met. He was such a GOOD human. He exemplified everything sports heroes are supposed to be - hardworking and dedicated to his craft, fierce competitor, gracious winner, confident but far from arrogant, proud of his roots, genuine appreciation to fans and those who helped him be able to make a living racing motorcycles, the list goes on and on.... It was a pleasure watching him succeed. I miss seeing him enjoying life as a motorcycle racer.

 

Wanna see Maverick Vinales on a lightly modded SV650. Except he'd be fast in practice then fade during the actual race.

 

But did you see Joe Roberts fanboy chatting with The Joker in the presser? Kinda cool.

 

FP2 Vinales, MM93, VR46 - hmmm, MM isn't just walking away from everyone so far. Who knows? Maybe we'll have a race Sunday...
