Guintoli had it in but was DQ from FP1&FP2. They had to give him a 2019 engine for the rest of the weekend.

 

I'd say MM93 wanted his first Motegi pole pretty bad.

Don't they give one for every pole? That's his ninth this year, so I think he wants to get to double digits so when he lines them all up over in some corner of his patio, it looks really impressive.

Potts -- you are correct. And he's won the damn thing every year since promotion to the bigs, so that makes the line only seven deep. I'm sticking to my belief he wants double digits for the custom wide-angle shot around the pool. Just kidding. That is something Jorge would arrange in the off-season (Marc would be too busy riding flat track).
