the exits of slow corners are mostly about controlling wheel-spin and wheelie. even a STK1000 bike has more than enough power to spin up for a while. the SBKs ability to control that HP isnt that much higher than STK1000 because they are on the same tires and because the SBKs dont have GP-level electronics. so they get about the same drive until much further down the straight.

I would also presume he is making up some time in the draft. I've often seen a bike that finished behind the leaders have the fastest lap, or highest trap speed, because of the draft.

I think that's right. You wouldn't get the Superbike money unless you were entered in the Superbike class. So $5k each for the Stk1000 wins and $2k each for the Superstock Bonus, $7k total each day.

But he could be adding in MA money. Any idea what the MA purse's are?

You should do some more research.

P1A didn't make the next round at Road Atlanta. They were trying to get some support deals done to continue. They were unable too. Perry started working for Buell.
What more research is needed for this discussion.

  9. And what do you know ? :)

Maybe there wasn't any real intention to continue. But what the fuck do I know?

  12. Well, you know you have the coolest dogs in the entire worldwide history of dogs. That is for sure. :)

Yes. And Crash Dog will be visiting Road Atlanta on Thursday this week. He has a hundred racer friends asking what time he will be arriving. I wish I was so popular.

    How are your dogs?

Maybe there wasn't. I never made any comment about any possible real intentions. But if your're honestly going to tell us that Perry would have folded the team even if Yamaha cut him a big sponsorship check, you are kidding yourself - regardless of any prior real intentions. :).

  15. Crash Dog is by far the coolest, most incredible dog on the planet. Calling him a "dog" is almost like an insult.

I don't have any at the moment. Caesar passed away. After spending thousands and taking him to numerous vets and specialists, his multiple
conditions were just too much and nobody could do anything for him. He had multiple organ failures. :(

I didn't start a thread about it or even talk about it for a long time. It hit me really hard and I just couldn't talk or think about it. You know how I am, he wasn't "just a dog" to me. It messed me up for a while.

So now I don't have one, and my work schedule is all messed up. So that is why I am going to start volunteering at the local humane shelters. I'll start hanging out with the dogs in captivity, take them for walks, take turns spending the day with them one at a time, donating food, help clean their cages, bring them toys and blankets, stuff like that.

I want to be a friend to the dogs that don't have families and try to make them happy.

If I'm not mitaken that was Geoff May, I'm pretty sure they didn't even list the bike as an R6. I feel like I remember the running order just showing it as a 600 during the race.

The year Perry and the p1a boys with Joey aboard, won the 200, it was for sure P1A with no graves or yamaha logos.

I definitely remember it was P1A, for some reason I had Geoff May in my head as the rider... But yup you got it, 2102 with pascarella. Don't you have some moon dust to go ride in or something rather than coming here and correcting people lol.

You're right. However, the relationship was so contentious, that was never going to happen.

Sorry about Caesar. When your life permits, get another dog. It will heal a lot of your grief.
