The normalization of pedophilia by the left has me really concerned about the shape of what this country is going to look like in a generation or two.

Actually his point on Trump has some validity just as the gripes on Obama's vacations and Michelle's trip all over with her kids and mom.

That is entirely separate from the stimulus and other crap. Oh and if we are running on continuing resolutions does the Stimulus also get renewed?

 

Actually listened to him in an interview for the first time the other day. He has a very sarcastic gallows type of humor. I actually believe his explanation. Rather than be offended he tends to laugh with or mock people about his being gay (kind of a good trait in people IMO) his claim that he was abused and misspoke tends to follow that. Anyway I think the hit squad got him and hope he saved what he made.

 

Then I wouldn't call them good journalists. I regularly got in hot water because I called both reporters and editors out for this kind of crap.

 

I watched the interview with the Maher panel when he was on. He was told to fuck off as well as other insults by the two left wing dickheads and he was laughing. He took none of it personally, and genuinely seemed to be enjoying the spirited debate. In all fairness to Milo, if he wasn't as flamboyant and over the top as he is, no one would give a shit about him. IMO he took the playbook from the LWNJ that do the same shit and just put a conservative spin on it. I like him for two reasons, he makes me laugh and he makes me look shit up and I learn something.

 

Hannity had a woman on his radio show that I heard on the way home (yesterday I think) who was a former journo for ABC. She claims the amount of political stuff that gets censored, as well as stories about pharmaceuticals and big corporate dealings was way over the top. She stated it as one of the reasons she quit.

 

Good or not, they represent a fairly significant percentage of those I have had direct dealings with. Hell there was a reporter/columnist for Rolling Stone that called to verify his report on a local event concerning James Brown. He had the thing written...I mean completely written and proofed, ready to print. He went through this very detailed description of how James shined shoes on Broad Street while the wealthy white Augustans looked down on him from the wealthy enclave of North Augusta. a) you cannot see Broad Street from NA, b) NA is in SC, not in Georgia and neither appreciates being mistaken as part of the other, and c) the money in Augusta when James was young ( and to a large extent still is) is concentrated on what they call the Hill and Summerville. It was pretty much a concentration of winter homes for wealthy Northerners, who looked down on Mr. Brown and ALL the locals.

There are a number of other instances, but suffice it to say, my experience has been that most are looking for a hook more than the truth and a fair number are simply lazy. They take what is leaked to them and do nothing more than a superficial job of vetting what they write. It has gotten worse as the print media loses more and more revenue and the older reporters are downsized and replaced with cheaper recent grads.

I hope you realize that it's up to you folks on the front lines of the news business to do everything you can to keep the rest of them honest. As Acree states, it seems to be, at least nationally, it's more of a ratings thing than it is being true journalism. All of the national networks on TV sell their stories with short skirts showing lots of skin, perfect hair on both men and women, and a hell of a lot of speculation after briefly talking about an actual news story. Hell, I watch Fox's 11:00 AM "outnumbered" just for the skin. Sometimes you can see that those chicks have legs all the way up. Good TV huh?
News story? what? She was talking about a news story? My mind was occupied elsewhere.
