That CBX looks odd with the small 140 rear tire.

Aaaah crap.....i mentioned that in the other auction thread a few days ago.Got the 2 auctions mixed up. That threw me for a serious loop seeing what the Vincent went for. Around 12 years ago at the Leesburg Va vintage bike show I almost bought a really ragged out vincent. Almost wish I did,but also really glad I didnt. I would have never really been able to afford restoring one properly.

Fack. I had a chance to buy a 94 RC45 for $17,500 with all the extra exhaust and EFI. Etc. I got a 95 916 instead.

Dude. They are even more rare that the RC30. You'd be rich by now.

Yeah this was in 1995 too. 1994 was the only year they brought 50 of them into the states to meet homoglation. But after reading a comparison they were detuned had a tall first gear and frumpy clutch. Gear driven cams. But also included some go fast goodies shipped in a separate box to circumvent epa etc.

It didn't sell well because it wasn't much more advanced or better than the rc30 and didn't make HP in it's oem stock trim. So the reviews were blah.

So I went with the Duc because it was all the rage for $13,500 which I still have.

The Duc would bring maybe $5,500 today while the Honder would be $35,000 or there abouts.

    I'm still kicking myself.
