Manufacturers have very limited support for BSB and that's the way a national series should be.

You are correct.

 

As I understand it, EVO will be the "race within a race" in the superbike race for privateers. So, technically, they will be in the "Superbike race".

We have that too.....it's called American Superbike

American Superbike is basically Superstock that lets you run aftermarket brakes, gastanks, wheels (but not 16.5) and triple clamps.

 

Check the rulebook. Especially the parts about engine mods and electronics ...
