I’d have to agree. Although, if Marc comes back and does not dominate immediately or get on the podium, I think the field will start to realize he is human.

 

That sounds like wishful thinking. I’ll take a more measured approach and see if ole Brittle Bones still has the Killer instinct to lay it all on line . We should know the answers by Saturday.

 

Absolutely 1000% wishful thinking as none of us know how he will do. It’s his work ethic at training and rehab that has me more confident than I’d be for any other rider. Marc at 90/95% is still a podium contender every weekend imho. Last year there were no consistent podium contenders. If he could just be consistent then it is GAME ON .

 

He's never raced with motogp at Portimao.

He'll need to be cautious at first (Team orders surely).

He may not hit P1 before FP3.......

 

I don’t think he plans to. I bet his goals are top 10s the first few rounds to get readjusted. But if he feels it I think he will pull the plug and Go.

I don’t know. I can honestly think he’s matured during this recovery.

Is it possible that the only way to get that Honda on the podium is to ride the way Marquez always rode it? If so he's going to be riding on the ragged edge again to do it.

 

Who thinks he will win the championship?? I'd say he does if he comes back anywhere near 100%.

 

He's gotta survive practice, and qualifying, without his usual crash habit. Because I fear that crash could re-injure him, and take himself out, again.

I think this is exactly the case. He's the only one with the skills to run that thing over the line every turn and gather it back up. Problem is he's crashed a lot doing this and got bit hard the last time. He's been lucky to not injure himself prior. If he throttles back to a level where he's not pitching it down the track every other session, he's not going to be as dominant every weekend.
We shall see.
Outside of Pedrobot, nobody else has done shit on that bike the last few years with any consistency.

Cool. I just hope he isn't rushing it too much. I'd hate to see him gimp himself permanently just to get back out there too soon.
