Ok I apologize for the typing. I got a new phone last month and this POS decides to change what I write to what ever it likes after I've type the whole deal. So it is painful to read. I do even try to read it before I post but it still changes it. Oh well. Now let me clear this up. All this so called having to have warmers for tires is just something you THINK you have to have. Yrs ago Road Racing world even did a test. Look it up. Now I don't want a set and have not found the need for me to own a set. It's MY choice. I've always used the warm up lap as such. I race vintage now and I'm competitive on 1st lap as I was competitive on 1st lap back in 90s when I ran 600s in Cmra and Wera. My whole point is that if I lined up against someone who uses warmers and they died and didn't work I'd own them on 1st lap. And I have. Same as if I put bais ply tired on a bike and raced anyone other than a vintage guy. Cause you would never have ever road on them and I have. So hope that cleared that up. Now how about anyone having a solution for loud generators? If you want to flame me any more then just start a new thread about crazy guy who knows nothing about racing. It's more entertaining. We can all laugh. And my results at cold track races prove my point. As do my videos. So all you fine people have a great day and be safe. And I proff read this twice cause phone changed words. I found them for 339 on the website, I assume there is a 20% off coupon floating around, but those usually say they don't apply to generators.
Google "harbor freight 20" and you have a 20% coupon at any given time. They use the coupon code/number off your screen.
Makes sense because back then wheels were made of stone and their wasn't any electricity so who needed warmers?
20% don't apply to jacks, compressors, or generators. however there is a fancy site that has all the HF coupons www.hfqpdb.com

Honda says 49-60 for their 3000 watt inverter. 70db with 10db reduction from plywood, and it would be quite tolerable. I haven't seen predator claim to be as quiet as Honda, but if they say that, they're not talking about honda's inverter models.
I've used one for 2-3 years now with no issues. Pretty quiet (ie, I had to put my hand on it to make sure it was running because I couldn't hear it over my paddock neighbor's generator this weekend), but probably louder than the comparable Honda/Yamaha.
MotoGP teams just use tire warmers so other folks can't look at their tires before or after the race. They don't actually plug them in or anything.
