I'll be damned! Never heard of him,but great read R.I.P. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jarno_Saarinen
ANY rider will do what it takes to remain competitive! VR is old and wont win another championship. Now he blocked Zarco from getting a well deserved factory ride! He and JL are two peas in a pod..
I wanted to say the same thing, but then I thought: who else can bring results on the Duc right now? Sure there are some riders that may be able to, but Dovi has proven his abilities.
Petrux doesn't suck. Nor does Miller. May not be Dovi level right now, but with the resources redirected...
If rumors are true, Zarco was wanting (and deserving) a factory Yamaha ride but with Vale re-signing, there is no room on the factory team. Apparently it will be He and Pol (Smith is out) on a factory KTM. We'll see if it's all true.
My statement wasn't a knock on Dovi or his abilities. Dovi's best results of his career have come aboard the Ducati. The question remains, is it due to Dovi or the bike? Dovi clearly gets along with the Ducati, but I'm apprehensive to believe he would be in the title hunt aboard a Honda again or the Suzuki. Both Ducati and Dovi need each other right now, they shouldn't ruin that by pissing on each other over a contract negotiation.
I do remember and I believe he was within his rights to do that. I would also guess that he received Crutchlow level of support on that third bike? I'm not sure what the contracts state as far as support staff goes. I am guessing that they can have written into their contract that they receive factory equipment, but is there anything about support staff?
