i’m the opposite. i’m 6’4” so a pure sport bike just doesn’t fit me all that well. i’m super hunched over with clip ons. now all three of my bikes have handlebars and i love it.
Sorry, I have a vision. Going satin black with cold leaf checkers. Think Kenny Roberts bikes but reversed color.
So, my old XS400 went from this. To this. I still have a lot of work to do, but I just had to see how my paint, gold and silver leaf looked in the sun. This is the first time I have ever tried to do leaf before. So it isn’t perfect, but I do like how it looks in sunlight.
2010 RSV4 R, just turned 27,000 miles last weekend 2016 Multi S, been posted before in another thread 2004 GSXR 750, raced it 10 years ago, now its a track bike, best it has ever looked
My winter project. Picked it up from a racer in SoCal a few weeks ago. This was the #666 Chris Kelly bike raced with WSMC originally. Its going down to the frame and being built back up as a street bike with lots of Tyga carbon fiber stuff. My mockup of the final look:
Very cool man. I just told the wife the other day I want to pick up an older sport bike. Is that a 250? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So if I’m reading between the lines correctly you’re saying this is the older sportbike I need to find? Seriously tho that thing is dope and I am definitely now looking for one to purchase. Easy to work on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Super easy to work on. The motor is a Suzuki RGV250 unit, so parts are still available thru Suzuki, plus AF1 and TuningWorks. Prices are going up pretty quickly, so hurry up and find one. If you comb Craigslist, they do pop up. I wouldn't sell any of mine for less than $10K.
This is all good news...I’m officially going to start looking out for one. Thank you for the information it’s appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Keep in mind that most of these in the USA are Challenge Cup bikes (like mine) with 15 digit Vins. If you want to put a license plate on it, you have to have some friends or live in the right state. The 17 digit street legal bikes imported from Europe are much more rare.
That is even better info...ty. I also just noticed the view that bike has looking out that window up top there... that’s something to love! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
