That thing looks great, I wouldn't change the graphics, other than the rider name if that is on there.

They're some other guy's race team and sponsor. It's Swenson paint under, but I need to get ride of the "RawSpeed" stuff for sure. I'm thinking of doing something with the Triumph logo but haven't quite figured it out yet.

While I don't necessary agree with the sentiment, technically the statment that the RC51 doesn't "belong" with the RC30 and RC45 is correct.

The RC30 and RC45 were limited HRC production runs where US sales (single year) were strictly for racing homolagation. The RC51 is not an "RC" at all (has a SC45 VIN designation) and was mass produced in the thousands of units per year for 6 years.

    RC30 and RC45 are both V-4's, the RC51 is a V-twin.

Regardless, as I own both a RC51 and a RC30 I can appreciate any pic that contains both of my favorite bikes.

For the record, I was well out of college when the RC30 was released but I didn't aquire mine until after 2002.

    I guess I should post
    some of mine up:
    1990 Honda RC30
    1997 Honda CBR1100xx

For the life of me can't find pics of the 2000 RC51 and 1987 VFR700F2 (although I"m mid re-restoration of the VFR) ...

If you ever need the spare tail section for that beast, it's sitting in my attic collecting dust.

If you saw the current state of "Sparky" (Sab named it that after it caught fire after the first restoration) you might not be so complimentary ...

Thanks! It didn't start out that way 15 years ago and I have worked very hard to even get it to this point.

Its not concourse quality but I've kept it all original except where mods have been made for ridability and safety. Last year a guy at Barber Vintage Festival who claimed to be a concourse judge for several events said it was a 98 point bike, dinging me for the non-OEM brake and clutch lines. using stainless steel exhaust clamp bolts instead of the mild steel OEM ones that sieze/snap, non original tires, after market license plate bracket/frame, no front and rear reflecttors and a missing safety decal. I told him I had the deflectors but they were hideous looking mounted to the bike so they are sitting in a spare parts box, I have since sourced the correct license plate bracket but need to find a US source to get it olive anodized, I have the rubber OEM brake lines for it but they are questionable condition (some dry rot cracking on one) and have sourced some really nice aftermarket lines that have black fittings and a rubber-look sleeve over the lines and replaced the one missing decal. On the upside he did say that it couldn't definitely show at the Quail if I wanted to make the trip out to Monterey, which is a bucket list thing for me and now that I have the 38' toy hauler a definitely possibility.
