Way to go with bringing in fact and shit like that. How is this supposed to blow up if you go and kill it with supporting evidence?
Ha, sorry. I get a bit worked up when I am blasted for not knowing what I am talking about when in fact I do. I am the first one to say I was wrong if I am shown to be wrong. But I know the OPE business pretty damn well.
I'm guessing Mr. G97 got confused between "assembled" and "manufactured". If I had to venture a guess, Snapper made all the parts, JD painted em green and put it together.
I am curious about what parts have Snapper numbers. Engine and engine related or deck/chassis/etc... I've got a JD G110 rider, don't care who made it.
Chassis and running gear. Everything but the engine. Snapper doesn't make engines, neither does JD (mower engines that is).
With that said, JD does make most zero turns and tractors. But this whole thread was about walk behind mowers.
The parts were painted at the snapper plant. They were also assembled at the snapper plant. That is why they had the Briggs power products stickers on them.
