I’ve got a grasshopper with the 21HP Kubota diesel. On Saturday my electric pto clutch shit the bed after 300 hours (used residentially only). After ordering a new clutch and talking with the clutch mfg, I should only be getting around 14.3v to the plug for the clutch. I’m getting almost 17v! I checked the voltage at the battery and it peaked at 17.4V.

My first reaction is the regulator but I don’t want to throw money at random parts if I don’t have to. Is there anyway to test the regulator and/or stator?

    Thanks,

    Brian
