Last time TWS will be raced... possible 24hr

nothing more than talking, but, it has walter's backing... if there is any interest from the WERA clan to send off this historic track in a truly magnificent manner, jump on that thread and keep hope alive...

Geez, I'd have to seriously consider trying to get a team together to run this.

 

I know enough guys in the PNW avid enough about e-racing to do this.

 

I guess I will renew my CMRA license.

 

I have done a couple of the 24 hr at Nelson Ledges back in the day. If this comes to pass, I recommend it to anybody that thinks they are an endurance racer. It separates the weak from the strong. Definitely a bucket list item. I can't imagine that there will be another 24hr race in the States in the foreseeable future and certainly not at the club level. Maybe I should sponsor a team on the SV. I don't know that I have another 34 in me as a rider.

 

I would love to do another 24, but a 24 at TWS would be a clusterfuck. I don't see how we could keep the lights working with all the bumps. Parts were falling off the bikes, bolts were loose that never loosen, fork seals were busted, etc after 8 hours there this year.

 

I was thinking my XR650R with a Baja 1000 kit on it.

 

if they could run 24hrs at nelson ledges, surely we can do it at TWS...
