What are you getting to replace it ? Just sold my 2006 Speed Triple. I'm going to miss it also... Probably will be getting an FJ-09 to replace it and am going to pimp it out with some nice suspension bits
A friend of mine in the VRRA is building one also for street duty, but it's an early eighties model I think.
I bought a '98/R a few weeks ago, mounting up some new Q3's right now, I think this one is "A Keeper".
This made me think of that Vesrah TL that Tray Batey used to ride..... Thought it had been for sale here for awhile and then never saw it again.... I remember guys talking about the power and how well that bike handled....
^^ truth! Sold mine, still regret it. Did pick up an RC few weeks ago, different feel for sure, but atleast back on a twin.
Well fuck, you guys are making my second thoughts even worse. Every time I rode it since I put it up for sale I'd think " I'm going to miss this if I sell it " Thanks for the positive reinforcement.
Mint one showed up at shop here last spring. Stock pipes, even still had license plate bracket. Hunter green in color. Sold before I could buy it. Guy has it sitting out in the rain, hacked the rear up.. Ride by it and wanna throat punch him. Lol
Truth!!! I had one 6 years ago, blew a gearbox, so sold the bike instead of repairing. my wife hated the fact I made such a loss on it and it was an unreliable bike (lots of issues created from previous owner) so was dead against me getting another. I pined for another, so had to buy other bikes to make up for it. after 9 different bikes lots of money lost and I still wasn't happy, even to the point I said I no longer wanted to road ride. so finally the wife admitted I just wanted a tls again, bought one 3 months ago, happy as a pig in mud ever since. great bikes once you sort their issues. to further reinforce the fact, my absolutely bat shit crazy fun machine is up for sale (07 gsxr 1000 streetfighter) because I just enjoy riding the TL so much more, even if it is at a lower pace and the frequency of wheelies is a lot less, but that's not a bad thing on the street cheers.joe.
