I didn’t get into them until the Escape album.

The best Journey song is the one that is ending as soon as I turn to that radio station.

It seems you have never heard the song in the first post.
Early Journey was a great band that came out of Santana. What they became...not so much. Do we judge Valentino Rossi only on his recent results?

I take it you answered a rhetorical question with a rhetorical question (albeit, a bit messed up). Answer: Trying not to.

  12. Best Journey Story:

When they lived in a party house together in San Francisco's Buena Vista Park, The Tubes lived next door.

Partiers at the Tube's house were instructed to throw all their cans and bottles in Journey's yard.

Something makes me think only 2% of the listeners know who The Tubes* are.

*saw them at Bimbo's, 1976. Now that was theater.

The baby dolls loved that car and stereo. And the stories... bring on the trial and firing squad. It was worth it.

Cool. I managed to avoid 4 channel 8 tracks along with DAT and Reel to Reel. I did or do have LPs, 45s, 8-tracks, cassettes (with Dolby B & C), CDs including CD-R and CD-RW, Audio DVDs, 4 channel audio DVD, USB thumb drive, iPod, phone memory, hard disk, xD card, SD card, micro-SD card, and probably some other digital media that I am forgetting. Things have certainly changed over the years.

Haters can hate Steve Perry Journey or all Journey all they want, but they are rightfully in the R&R HOF. If you think Journey is just Faithfully and Open Arms you need to give a listen to both the older and newer stuff.
