There is a thread at apriliaforum.com saying he was offered a ride Dorna is pushing the issue. It makes sense to kill two birds with one stone, stop his dominance in WSBk and get AI out of that team. I don't believe he will go but it would be interesting...
Never happen. Rea is Kawasaki's golden boy. The only way you'll see him in GP is if Kawasaki goes back.
Would be pretty cool for sure if it actually happened. Rea hasn't been in a MotoGP race since his old Honda days....did pretty respectable from what I remember.
How'd that work out for Scott Russell? Doubtful he'd leave a multiple championship winning ride to be a mid pack or worse gp rider.
Rea said a few weeks ago at the Donington GP that he'd only move up on a factory team, so that rules out Suzuki.....
Speaking of Rea, he literally walked away from the field right from the start at Portimao Kinda sad looking there, the grandstands are literally empty. Feels like there's more people that show up to MotoAmerica than spectators at alot of these WSBK rounds. Is it losing favor on the world stage?
