I had so much fun, and met so many nice folks from all around the country. saw some old friends that I haven't seen in years. this has been a great week!
The sportsman 750 race was the best race I've ever been in, I even lapped some of the 2nd wave riders. A first for me :D
Jennings is a really fun track and I'm sure glad they have lots of run off room, ask me how I know :D
Looking forward to my next race , I can hardly wait.

Hey guys- a friend of mine crashed his red VTR (#777) on wed. near the end of the Bargy school and fractured his neck. By any chance did anyone see/hear how it happened? His memory is rather fuzzy and he'd like to at least learn something from this! He got conflicting reports- one that he didn't see someone's hand up for pit out and hit him, the other story is a Harley rider (who was riding aggressively/squirrly) clipped him. Not trying to assign any "blame", just looking for info.

The only thing I saw was the bike comming in on the trailer it did not look to bad, thought I saw him sitting in his pit later...

My friend on the #777 Sundial Suzuki in the Riders School told me that he was clipped by the Harley Rider and afterwards the Harley guy was only worried about his paint.

I told this and did not see anyting happen.

Most every class had great racing and LARGE grids it was really nice to see...

Confirmation, pulled the motor, Snapped the crank in the center :( all the off season work paid off but it was a poor choice to run the daytona crank(they are known to be weak), it could not handle the HP... well a new one is on the way in the motor and I will be ready to do battle at roebling... See ya there

Normally vintage class results are reported on the WERA site with the Sportsman results, but the 'vintage only' meeting falls through the cracks. Not reported on wera.com and there is no results page on weravintage.org, just cumulative points...which appently don't yet reflect the event from NPR 2 weeks earlier.

Anyone have the Sidecar or Over 50 results?

Geez... just as impatient and gung-ho off the track as on!:p

I'll try to whip something up by this weekend and post it on the site.

BTW - nice riding SRX854. 854 is the displacement... right?;)

How did you and the bike fare? Where you on Keith's XR or your Triumph?

Eric, yes I was on the H-D And on the third lap the sky opened up and I turned it back a notch but not enough ,I broke my own rain rule to follow and let them find out how much grip there is .For the record ama has it right ,Big bikes don't belong on Daytona with a wet track.Springsteen couldn't believe how slippery it was.I hate it for kieth and joe because the rain bit me and we will be back for a rematch in 04 iffffff it's dry.The xr was perfect joe did a great job it felt like it was one with me .Well off to work. tim

Tim, a lot of people had you picked as the pre-race favorite in that race over Nixon and Springer. You just need some flat track experience. Springer said he had his foot down a few times.
