Some of us prefer life's challenges to be found on a higher level. My last XJ, current WJ and current JK have all climbed better than 70% grades. They have no handling issues on dry asphalt, provided I don't get all Kimi Raikkonen with 'em, and one GL coulda paid for all three of those Jeeps. Fact of the matter is, I would never take a GL where I take my Jeeps, unless I had to - to preserve/survive life. The Jeeps go there cuz that's what they're for...
Truth. I had a 95 YJ 4.0, 2000 TJ 4.0, and just got a 2016 JK WW. The 2016 feels super soft, like driving a couch, compared to the 95 YJ (last year with leaf springs). Also, even though the JK has about 100 more horse power than my YJ and TJ, I still wish JEEP offered the JK with a 5.7 HEMI.
