Crap! Do you think my vintage Styx tapes will get wiped? I'm off to build a faraday cage. Be back later.

Remember years ago when there was big deal made about Russian MIG jets still using tube type electronics....The "story" was that tubes were EMP proof so that Ruskies' jets would still fly post nuclear. Hmmmmm?

Meh...might be Russia's way of telling NK and US to step back.

    Back on Topic:
    Dweygi Gooyi (Korean BBQ Pork)

2#/1kg Pork Shoulder -- boned and large fat removed, sliced thin (I use my deli slicer at 7 mm - -around 1/4 in)
    Marinade
1/2 c korean hot pepper paste (gochuchang)
    1/2 c plum wine
    6 large cloves garlic, minced
    chunk ginger, grated
1 large bunch fresh green onion, chopped (the fresher the better --it's a critical ingredient)
2 TBS sugar or glucose syrup
Mix to paste, blend meat into mix.

Marinade 6-24 hours cold. BBQ fast and hot. Serve over rice, with banchan.

Isn't this exactly what China was worried about? China stepping in and ending all this is the best thing that could happen.

Why in the fuck do we always have to be the country to step in and do shit when some asshole country pulls crap like this? NK, China and Russia all share the same land mass. Common sense would say they handle little rocket man.

They will if it suits their purposes. They like having NK keep us busy. It serves a purpose for them.
If it comes to military action between the US and NK, you'll see Chinese and Russian ground troops pouring into NK.
Until/unless that happens, the US is expending time, money, and resources on NK that they can't expend elsewhere.

China and Russia both benefit from the instability and buffer of sharing a border with the "west". While they don't want NK to completely fly off the handle, both have helped NK get to where they are today.
