Is this the year for the Libertarians?

Not to win the election of course, but to get a substantial portion of the vote? Say 10 to 20% even? I sure hope so. I can't see myself ever voting for Trump or Hillary. Gary Johnson's platform looks pretty good to me. Sure there are a couple of hair brained ideas in there that go a bit too far, but nothing as crazy as some of Trump's ideas like getting Mexico to build a wall for us that Mexico doesn't even want.

A vote for Johnson is a vote for Hillary.

 

That horse you keep trotting out must be getting awfully tired...

 

Unfortunately this is the same horse that gets trotted out every election to ensure that a 3rd party does not get too strong and ruin everything for the establishment...

Registrations for the Libertarian party are way up this year, R and D are both way down. That's encouraging, people are slowly wising up to the fucking the 2 party's have been giving them.

 

No need. The Lib candidate traditionally plays the role of the anti-establishment candidate. We already have that in Trump.

 

A vote for a 3rd party is not a vote for Hillary. If I had to chose between the two main party candidates I would unfortunately pick the democrat for the first time in my presidential voting life. Fortunately I have a 3rd choice and don't have to pick between the two major parties!

 

The only way a 3rd party vote isn't a vote for Killary is if Bernie runs on the granola socialist ticket. Otherwise it's a vote that would have surely gone republican.

 

Anyone who thinks there is a third choice is kidding themselves.

Perhaps not for those of us residing in the blue States, but in the [purple??] States where it may be 50/50 and it trades back n forth every Presidential race.....how is it NOT a waste?
