I was looking at it as how much money and resources the state spends rescuing these dumbasses over and over. Been going on for years and obviously isn't going to stop.

 

It's been a while since I read the book, but use there already a bridge just like a mile down river and a ranger station? Wasn't that part of the book?? And he poisoned himself eating a plant at the wrong time?
