    That's what I was thinking. As if Covid and emerald ash borers weren't enough...now we got the SLF to eat our oak trees too!

    It does look like aclick beetle but we always just turned them over and they disjoint then.pop in the air making a click sound. Then land on thier feet.

    Well, thanks to the link eerily "coincidentally" provided by our corporate overlords, it appears to be an Eastern Cicada Killer.

    Good. Shut those mother truckers up... I'm trying to get a nap.

    I hear ya.....since I've moved to south Texas, I have a WTF is this bug once a month. One looked like a 3" long roach with wings!
