    I had a 97' 750 and an 05 GSXR1000. I rode both for many track days.

Well, until I wadded up my 2005 at Road Atlanta in a bout of epic target fixation.
But, that's a story for another day.

While it wasn't a 99, the 97 I had was still part of the original 4 years of the SRAD750 design.

For vintage racing, the 99 750 is probably a better choice.

I have the SRAD and the Superman. If and when I get to ride them I will make a fair choice. The SRAD is classic and with purpose, the superman is where technology was going..

Of the 2 you mentioned I would have to go with the 750. It is an amazing bike. With that said so is the 01 1000 as well.

    I had and raced a 96 750, a 98 750 with Fuel Injection and I had and raced a 2001 1000.
All were fun and excellent race bikes. When I had my 2001 1k as a streetbike I really enjoyed that bike. It's probably one of the few bikes I wish I never sold.

I suggest you go after the 750 and pass along the info on the 1k to me.

I owned the 750 (but it was a 2001) and had the chance to ride a friend's 2001 1K. The bikes "felt" the same. But the power of the 1k was, to me, impressively elevated.
