    We just got one, like it a lot. Actually have done fries in it and works well and fast.

    I have a convection oven. Makes a damn good meatloaf. I used the regular oven for this because I was intent on disappointing several people at once. (I left that open ended as a gift, have at it.)

    And if folks would read McGee, they would know why. Baked fries aren't bad, and are better than poorly fried french fries.
    Belgian twice-cooked is a PITA. If I am deep-frying, its usually shellfish fritters (or chicken). :beer:

    Convection oven is great for hog jowl. Seriously. Nice n crisp.

    It doesn't. Bacon goes on the grill in a cast iron pan. That way I don't have to smell it in the house and I can let it splatter all over the place. Plus the grill is already to go for the burgers and the roasted potatoes.

    In the oven in cast iron. That way I CAN smell it in the house and it doesn't splatter....much.
