I don't know why they haven't thought of this. We just need a Federal Judge to order them to be reunited with their families immediately.
It's a soccer team stuck in a cave in Central or South America. Saw this morning they got food/water/blankets so they'll be fine until they can get to them.
While I hope so, they just announced a Thai SEAL died while trying to navigate the underwater cave maze. A lot can go wrong with the current rescue plan. Teaching kids to swim, scuba dive, and than follow a dive buddy through underwater caves with zero visibility, narrow passages, and strong currents.
I saw that in the news. Yeah, it made me cringe a little. I was just hopeful that with a lot of smart, experienced people involved that everything would come out good. It's a very thin line for everybody for sure. I just want to remain optimistic.
Haven't been able to see the news - how the hell did they get in the cave? And why not run a mine shaft like they do for mine collapses?
Woah, first time hearing about this. This sucks! I also dont know how the got there, but maybe they went in when was dry and the rain flooded the cave? EDIT: The googles " The football team had been on an exploration of the Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai province following a game on June 23. The group became trapped after monsoon rains caused the cave system to flood."
It was reported initially that they seeked shelter from the monsoon rains. I started doubting that when they said how deep they went into those galleries. I haven't heard confirmation since they were found.
SpaceX is sending over some volunteers to help out with the rescue effort. My friend speaks Lao and will be heading out this afternoon.
