Agree a under inflated tire can destroy the side wall in no time, even on a new tire.

I saw a trailer once lose the rear axle on one side with two tires attached. It was close to 1/4 mile ahead of me and luckily nothing was close to it. The whole unit was bouncing over 10 feet in the air and traveled quite a way down the road, ending up in the middle lane.

Had a semi around here recently lose a U-Joint - it bounced over the cement median wall, took off an oncoming drivers arm and killed her kid in the back seat....

You guys are making me want to hang up my helmet...and my car keys. I hate driving already. Especially in this shithole state where no one knows how to drive.

If we're going to get into that kind of failure, a few years ago a moving van on I-85 in Charlotte (IIRC) lost a complete wheelset from the driver's side of the trailer. Two wheels and a brake drum, in one piece.

It bounced across the median wall and crushed an oncoming car.

All kinds of sh!t happens, and with semis, it's best not to be close by when it does.

I watched a wheel come off a truck one time on I75 and pass the truck.

Friend of mine got rear ended by a illegal driving a 18 wheel rock hauler on Malfunction Junction in Tampa, driver ( with no papers ) needed someone to translate his question as to why is the traffic so slow moving.

So much for speaking fluent English for CDL A.

This is where my accident happened . Westbound right before the merger.

I wasn't near the semi . I would guess 200' or so away. The car infront of me was around 4 -5 car lengths ahead of me. Just happened fast and it was dark .

Yeah, I don't know how these guys are getting their CDL's that can't speak or read english. My wife is in charge of shipping for all the out going product at a local plant. She's constantly coming home telling about drivers that can't speak, read or even understand english. She's had some so bad they couldn't even understand simple directions about where to back up to the dock. She's had to walk out and show them. I don't know how they can get anywhere without getting lost.

Estimates are often wrong. Don't sign anything until the bike is fixed to YOUR satisfaction. DAMHIK!

I still don't fear semis as much as women in suvs and dudes compensating in their shiny Lariat edition. Both usually yapping on the phone swerving from lane to lane. A couple times a week both try to kill me. Semis are generally not a problem.
