The recall involves Honda EB2200i, EU2200i, EU2200i Companion and EU2200i Camo portable generators. https://www.abcactionnews.com/money...at-home-depot-recalled-over-fire-burn-hazards
Only things to fail on my 11 year old Yamaha 3500iSeB are the battery and pull cord. Fortunately, not at the same time.
not really was just a fuel shut off last time this time it's the invertor. Lucky we don't have much salt water her in Michigan " Hazard: The portable generator’s inverter assembly can short circuit with the presence of salt water. This causes the unit to smoke or catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. "
It’s gonna be a minute before they ship those parts the problem only occurs in a very specific set of conditions near salt water. However if they are met do step away
It would have to be horizontal rain, or getting splashed by a big wave for it to get to the inverter. Obviously, no one pays attention to the ten million warning stickers on their generators. You know, like, do not expose to moisture, rain, or snow. LOL
