I have a 79 cx I’m starting, slowly, to build as a cafe racer with intent in tracking it from time to time. Just curious to see your guys builds and tips while I start this build. Here’s a couple photos of what it looks like now.
Do it man....race what ya want! A friend of mine set a land speed record at Bonneville on a CX500.....it may not be conventional, but it worked.
That’s awesome! What was the record and what class? That’s what I like the most about the bike, it’s unconventional. Front facing twin with a drive shaft. Ugly ducklings are very cool.
Wow! I bet. I’ve seen a few cafe bikes with a chain drive conversion. I’m really not sure how they pulled it off. I’m not going to go that route, I like the drive shaft. Send some pics and details of the bike if you are able. I’d like to check it out.
