That is absolutely what they are going for and why their violence and extremism is being covered up and downplayed by so many. They egg their sheep on hoping that someone starts opening fire on them so they can use their Pravda arm and have it all over CNN and MSNBC that "the peaceful protesters were killed by right wing hate groups". The NYT likely already has the entire front page ready to go, just need to fill in the details. They will keep ramping it up until they get what they so desperately desire.

The human is a social animal, much like a wolf is to a pack. There are very few lone wolfs just as there are very few lone humans. When outcast, for what ever reason, most folks will search out another pack to join. The weirder the outcast the more susceptible he is to the siren call of the John Jones' of the world. The organizers of these fringe groups know and understand this. They preach a mantra that allows the outcast to join in on by only accepting the "code". Reason and logic go out the window in order to gain access to the pack and the social benefits it provides. This drive for social acceptance is one of the strongest drives in human nature. It can easily overpower other drives, even self preservation. Antifa is just another one of these groups, much like a cult, the KKK, or (dare I say) the Amish (not all cult/groups are inherently bad). When the cult preaches, endorses and practices violence it's time to disband them....just don't expect the problem to go away until the outcasts have something productive to join (like a motorcycle racing fraternity)......
