What is a 71 XR750 frame with swingarm, old Marzocchi shocks, Ceriani forks and factory XR tank worth? Can an ironhead Sportster motor fit in that frame without chopping the frame up?

I have no idea, but sounds like a nice find.....robby-bobby may know.

I think 71 was a non-alloy motor, and the chances of an ironhead fitting may be good......I'm sure its gotta be close.

It would be cool to have something like that to run around town on.

It aint up there near the slope is it????

There was a guy at Volusia county racing that exact setup a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I don't know what it takes for that setup, I know very little about it. He was rolling though!! Hopefully Rob or someone will know.

Is it a factory frame or aftermarket racing frame?

    Any pics?

I'm not convinced that's an xr frame.

I'll text that pic to bill Werner and ask him.

There's no mounts for the oil tank that I can see...

I should be in Fairbanks at Fort Wainwright in the next couple weeks if you want me to take a look

I have no idea about this thing, but it is interesting in a strange location for an XR frame, if that is what it is.
