I remember Dale Quarterley used to give a lecture on why you should never buy a used rental car. There was a special award at the LRRS banquet.
That was the first car. Holed the oil pan and tranny pan. He got a second car for the weekend and that one mysteriously died at the track, so he sent for a third car. To top off the weekend he wadded his brand new ZX-7 on the track. (Homestead)
I don't understand these Carl Icahn, Paul Singer, Warren Buffet, George Soros types, rich old men still heavily involved in the market and corporate structures, Icahn is 84 years old
These guys are worth billions each, obviously intelligent so it's not likely they'd be collecting cans and bottles if they never got into finance. I just think it's a strange obsession, to each his own I guess.
