If marihuana is a gateway drug, then there are hundreds of thousands of users ignoring this supposed "gateway." I know some deadbeat users and some who are more educated and successful than most people posting here. My friend's brother didn't have a marijuana problem, he loved heroin more than his family. I'm waiting to hear what happens to his wife...
I posted in the dungeon because I knew this would go in a political direction. Legalize it all. Eliminating the stigma of use eliminates the stigma of seeking help. The only difference is that people will actually know what they're injecting, and how much. Personal responsibility.
Rising Drug Thefts: Medicines Stolen From VA Health Facilities Double That From Private Hospitals Another example of how government run healthcare doesn't work. Evidently, the selfless, non-profit-motivated government employee of liberal lore actually does have some self interests.
3 Men Face Charges After $9 Million Worth Of Heroin Seized « CBS ... http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2017/06/02/9-million-heroin-seized/ Wowwie wow wow wow.
I lost my brother last October to the stuff. Nothing in my life has both saddened and angered me to such a degree. This epidemic is going to get a WHOLE lot worse before it gets any better.
I'd love to know where they come up with these values... $9,000,000 according to who? If it's really worth $9M, the government should be JUMPING at the chance to tax it!
Generally I think they use street value. For argument's sake, 10 kilos seized would be stepped on a few times before the doses reached the user. The original 10 would probably be over 20.
Who sets the street value? The cops who are actively working to make the supply smaller, thus driving up the price? I just think it's suspect when law enforcement agencies are touting how much their bust is worth. Who else gets to write their own headline like that?
