I had perfect BP my whole life, when things started going sideways at work yrs ago, BP went through the roof, Dr put me on BP meds I have 1st appt w/ PTSD/Trauma/Abuse-specific counselor this coming week Thank you <3
Srsly dude, get checked out. Your heart exploding like that can easilly be treated with medications. If left untreated can lead to.....well, death.
Is it a panic attack? Or is the panic triggerd by a cardiac event that happened first and caused the elevated HR/BP? Dunno, thats why he needs to see a doc and get checked out.
Speedy.....WAY too many variables to analyze via a chat board - even with all the incredible expertise here. Don't waste any time getting an in-person evaluation, especially if you suspect any PTSD contributors. Sometimes, "no big deal", is really quite the opposite.
Yep. And, get that HBP issue resolved. I have a heart specialist and a renal specialist now because of mine. You don’t want it.
New concussion specialist saying a lot of my symptoms are actually stress/trauma related. Which is a good/fixable thing. I would have cigarette ashes/butts thrown on my chest/lap 2-3x a week for years and years.......+ hundreds of other similar things. I'm finally w/ the right medical people.....Imma get well TY
Already said, but good breathing for coping and in general. Sometimes I find i'll hold my breath when focusing on things and won't breath in a proper steady pattern, kinda throws you outa wack without even noticing you're doing it. I do this on the track,,, smh. Also though, kinda a general fix but, are your drinking enough water throughout the day. I use a bottle and try to make sure I drink at least 4 full a day, which is surprisingly easy to screw up, not notice, and slowly fall into feeling crappy and such. Idk mate, good luck and try and keep your head on .
Yes, my friend told me about water a ways back, but I had forgotten about it.....thanks for the remind
We share common ground. Sorry to hit you with that fact. Few questions: 1. Have you been diagnosed with sleep apnea? 2. If so, do you treat it? 3. Do you use anything mind altering before bed? Dont care what (alcohol, prescription, cannabis) just was a factor for me. 4. Are you obsessed with these bad things as you fall asleep? 5. Do you pick up a mobile device quickly upon waking? 6. Do have a naturally manic and/or hot/cold personality? 7. Are your high points REALLY high and your lows equally low? 8. Have you had your hormone levels checked? 9. Do you have close relatives who show signs of mild to severe mental illness? **not expecting you to tell us these things. Just giving you some food for thought after a VERY long journey for me. I agree with others here, you need to see a med doc first. However, expect to see the head doc too.
If you aren't seeing a therapist then you need to get to one. Look for one that does EMDR if you're dealing with PTSD. Pills won't help your underlying problems. I wish you luck.
Dang Speedy. I really hope you can get the help you need, I feel for you dude. I've never met you but can see you've got a big heart and I respect the acts of kindness you demonstrate. Stay strong, this world needs more people like you around.
So glad you feel better Speedy. As other suggested get checked out; EKG, stress test, lungs, CBC, liver function, thyroid function etc. Because when they rule out all those things, that in itself will relieve some of the stress you;re experiencing by knowing that none of those things are a problem for you. All the Best
have a rum drink, relax. Like some one told me a long time ago. Rule #1. Don't sweat the small stuff. Rule#2. Everything is small on the grand perspective
on a serious note, wish you the best, my advice is probably not the best. Take a vacation, just spent a week in Panama with no tv/cell phone/ internet. When the only thing to think about is catching a fish for dinner life is pretty simple, with a chicken back up
