    Brewers went to NL in '98 with expansion that resulted in 30 total teams. The 15/15 split would have resulted in and idle team every day, and its tough enough to play 162 games. Commissioner and Brewer owner Bud Selig agreed to move to the NL. The league continues to have the same 30 teams (although Montreal in now the Nationals) since that expansion, but reverted to an uneven total of 15 in each league in 2013 with the Astros going from the NL to AL, and the team imbalance issue solved by interleague play.
    WRT Hank ending back in Milwaukee, the same happened at the end for Willie Mays -- his last two years were back where his career started in NY (this time with the Mets). Say Hey and Hammerin Hank. Not sure they make them like that any more.
