    Hi All,
    Just bought a 2006gsxr 600 that has 35k miles that I am prepping for the track.
    Ran fine when I purchased and did the test ride.
    Decided to go thru the bike completely, to clean/replace a few service items;
    * new plugs
    * new valve cover gasket
    * new fuel pump and filters
    * new woodcraft ignition/start delete
    * motion pro start/on off switch
    * injector clean/test with new micro filters and O-rings

    Put it all back together but had a difficult time starting.
    Ran (rough) for about 10 seconds then cut off.
    Pulled the air box and looked into the throttle body to see gas collected in cylinder #3 intake valves.
    Looks like #3 is not getting a burn/spark.
    Switch coils...same thing on #3.
    Any ideas?

    First thing would be to swap coils and see if it stays in same cylinder or moves with the coil.

    If it stays same cylinder then the plug is the culprit. I've been bit by bad plugs out of the box before. **it happens.

    So it ran ok, you changed the plugs, now no spark in one hole? I'd start with those plugs...

    Thanks Guys,
    I'll try both ideas...swapping plugs and injector....fingers crossed.

    Swapped out the new plug..looks like all cylinders are now firing (all pipes warm now)
    But now it won't stay running for more than 5sec????

    Did you put a used fuel pump in it? If so, bad pump? Put orginal pump back in and try it.

    Replaced the fuel pump with a new Quantum.

    make sure you're not pinching the fuel line. they go a certain way when you close the tank.
