The 2008 and 2009 are identical. I wish I could tell you for certain, but it doesn't look like they are directly interchangeable between those two generations (2009 and 2011). I don't know what is actually different, but every single site I have checked lists them as different part numbers, including unpainted fenders, so it's not just different colors.
Was that between '11 and '08 or '09 and '08? I'm surprised that the '09 front fender doesn't fit an '08. I have an 06/07 (different years than what the OP is asking about) that are direct swaps. BUT '06 to '10 parts are swappable over those years. A little dremel and bodywork might work for the OP.
