I think you are right. His comment was in response to somebody (not me, I just watched and kept my mouth shut) noticing his unhappiness at second place. I seem to remember him reving the bike to well past redline sitting in the pit and then just pushing it up against a post or something and walking off, pissed. He hated losing.
