Getting Brembo supersport rotors. Also getting the light weight tank. But!!!! Has anyone ever tried the BDK engineering stator? I am looking in to one from superbike unlimited.
I ran one for 3 years. with a lightened starter sprag, my rotating weight was only 775 grams Seemed to charge my 2ND gen fine. It's not MA legal so it's in a box right now.
not allowed in MA twins tank must be as homologated. http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Racing/Story/road-racing-rules RTFRB
I’ve got a BDK on my 06 and it’s nice but I’m not worried about MA rules, just motor longevity. Does MA allow wiring harness modifications? I’ve stripped several harnesses down to bare minimum for the 2nd gen bikes.
Getting titinum rotor bolts and brake caliper bolts. Light weight axles? Anyone ever played with that before? Aluminum a no go?
You're building this for MA right? In the 2018 rulebook Al / Ti axles were illegal. Though if you want some Al axles, Ryan is making them www.707racing.com
Just read it again. Didnt see anything. Also says at the end of it. That bolts fasteners ect. Can be changed judt not the external motor bolts
It's possible I'm reading this wrong, but it does seem fairly straight forward from the "Wheels" section. 2.8.10.6 h) Bearings, seals, and axles may be altered or replaced from those fitted to the homologated motorcycle. The use of titanium and light alloys is forbidden for wheel spindles (axles).
