Samuel Colt was born 7-19-1814, 207 years ago. You can still buy his SA Peacemaker. He lived 48 years. "Samuel Colt invented, patented (worldwide), and manufactured to high standards at relatively low cost a personal weapon that placed the individual in a rough equality with the state, where, despite frantic attempts to annihilate that individual, he remains to this day—in no small part thanks to Samuel Colt." -Tony Daniel
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Yes, but different fields... None greater than John Moses Browning. So far ahead of his time...
James Martin invented the ejector seat for aircraft. Still in use today and apparently saved over 7000 lives. Any pilots here ever needed to eject from a plane?
Eh....I still like that Henry Ford and Edison were buddies . Got a tour of a henrys basement one day by a contractor and he had a 2 lane bowling alley down there. Kellogg and jp also bring good stories to mind. RIP mr. Colt
I'm enjoying how everyone has slept on his 50+-year old CVCC technology, and are only rediscovering it again like it's brand new tech, on everything from all the new turbo F1 cars to soon-to-be F-150s, and everything in between.
