Eff that lap record time trial crap. It's a race fir crying out loud and we are on a (sort of) motorcycle road racing forum! Nobody goes to the gnf to run the fastest lap, they go to race! After all, who wouldn't love to be on track with the legend that is J7O!?
Sorry, but the wager is for the lap time only. There was never any mention of a race by 'josh7owens' or 'Robby-Bobby', only by the people desperate to see 'josh7owens' "put in his place".
Let's go for time trials first, after which I'm sure Robby-Bobby and Josh Ownes wouldn't mind putting on an exhibition race for their fans. I assume Robby-Bobby's fan club will be there also. If we had a firm date we could have t-shirts ready for the event. Do we have an official name for the event? We need the equivalent of The Thrilla in Manilla.
Time trials just suck to spectate. (except the tt) If there are 9 yr olds and soccer moms on track what good is a time trial? So on the racer forum we go from racing gokarts to winning a trackday, just sayin'. J70, bring the gopro, an onboard will be essential for the final video edit documenting the domination (lower case cuz trackday) that will be recorded for posterity, forever, for a 1000 yrs, whichever comes first. Anybody down for commentating? Maybe some pit lane commentary too? Just use your smaht phone! How about nominations for umbrella girls from the beeb members? It will be recorded for the beeb. The rules are 4 races total and the time to beat is 19.977. $1000 to him if he beats it, $1000 to me if he doesn't. We can do some exhibition racing afterwards but it won't be for money. I'm going to take the winning and put it towards a new race car build that I'm starting in Jan. I'm going back to SCCA racing in 2018.
