FS: Arai Corsair X

Selling a new Arai Corsair X Japanese model. Helmet was purchased in Japan, thus is labeled as the Rx7 (in Japan, they never went to the Corsair name). This also means it won't come with the box, as it was easier to stuff into a duffle bag. I've wore the helmet only indoors to try for fit, so it has yet to see the light of day. Build date on the helmet is November 2015.

Why are you selling? Does the jap one fit different?

 

It fits just like the US model. I am selling because I picked up an AGV Corsa at a great price.

 

Since it's from Japan it won't be DOT rated on the sticker right? I figure it's the same helmet that does get DOT rates in the states it just doesn't have the sticker. Any idea if track day organizations will hassle me if it doesent have the sticker?

 

It's still snell rated so I'd assume tracks won't care . It's an Arai they know what they are . Tracks are more concerned with build date and is it in good condition I would think ....just my 2 cents

Actually there are slight differences in the Corsair X, the RX-7v (Euro), and the rx-7x (Japanese). But the dome pads are adjustable and you can get larger or smaller cheek pads to fit however you need. It's a fantastic helmet no matter which version you get!
