This is for a Triumph 675 with standard forks (non ohlins) if it matters. In the past when changing the front tire I would leave the brake calipers bolted to the forks and just flex the fender to allow the wheel to clear the calipers. I now have a cracked front fender from doing this too much. What does everyone do with the front fender when swapping tires? I don't want to remove the fender or calipers every time. Any tricks?
If you're too lazy to remove the calipers during a front wheel chance then just setup your front end to a quick change setup.
Yepper, just back them out a 1/4 turn, pull back about 2" and they bend enough to get the calipers out of the way.
The Fast Frank stuff is what I was thinking of. Some of you act like this is unheard of. It's been done in endurance racing for years.
