I agree it's "for the money" - I'm saying the salary they receive isn't "the money" in this case.

Why are congressional peeps and the pres still getting paid during the shutdown?

Ding, Ding, Ding...they shouldn't be. They also shouldn't be allowed to vote themselves raises and approve their own healthcare plans...those should have to go to public vote for it to happen...

It is true. The argument for their salaries is that it makes them less likely to utilize the position for personal gain, but they all still do. Nearly every one of them is guilty of graft, insider trading, or somehow otherwise using their power for personal gain (for themselves or a family member or friend).

I cant dispute how you interpret my posts but just to clarify, she is a high school student.

She hopes to attend a service academy, The Citadel, etc. Applications have been submitted. Now its wait and hope time.

Don't worry Pelosi is going to force the release of the past ten years of a President (or candidate). Amazingly though they are limited to 8 years of office and there is no mention of congress kritters (or their spouses) releasing theirs....

I wonder which Senate and what President she expects to sign off on that birdcage liner?

    TSA is show security anyway.

Further consider the one attack was performed by illegals (VISA overstays) and foriegners. Improve our immigration system and maybe we can go back to not being felt up as we move about our own country.

LMFAO. You mean people will be rejoicing.

I guess the Dems better write in 5Billion for border security.

You realize that no TSA workers most likely means no flying instead of just no security. I don’t see people rejoicing over that. The business lobbies will put pressure on everyone to get that fixed ASAP.

We flew before the TSA, I am sure we could fly without them.
    Remember? Before 9-11?

Unless air traffic control is shut down..they'll fly without the TSA.

I hate the TSA as much as anybody, but I sincerely doubt the FAA will let planes off the ground without them.
