Hey guys I cut down my harness on my ex500, now the regulator is not controlling the charge. What am I missing? Did I remove something that is needed for the regulator to work properly? Thanks Lance

I "might" have a couple ex500 regulators floating around. Yours if I find them.

Thanks, it's not a bad regulator though. It's something in the harness. I cut out the fuse box and I'm thinking it's something in there or somewhere that is not allowing the regulator to dump the extra voltage.

Over charging can be regulator issue.
F3s are bad about this and fry the plugs in back.
Do you still have heat sink behind it?
Also put a Suzuki regulator on it.
They work better and dont have that issue.
    Best of luck.
